BOOK CAMPAIGN FOR JNHS LIBRARY

Desire gajod nako to have my own library in the house. Functional and accessible so that whenever I want to have some readings, jaon dajon ako makit an na basahon. This desire was fueled-up when I studied in a big school. Natagaw ako pagkakita nako sa library, which we do not have at JNHS. We were asked to search from the card catalog, tagaw gihapon kay waya may ato. But it was a nice experience though because it made me swear that someday, we could have that in our school.

I used to buy books from book sale back in college, just to have some novels to read. Bisan uno ra basta english, para sad madugangan an ako vocabulary. I used to buy from Otis or Crown, tag 20-50 pesos, out from my meager allowance. It was a sacrifice, because instead of buying food, I spare money for this hobby. And I'm still doing it up to now.

I can't remember exactly when was my first book donation, pero it was late Ma'am Mordeno who accepted it. I brought some few volumes of books out from my collections, na ako natipon from my years of accumulating. Although gamay ra adto but there was a feeling of fulfillment on my part, kay amo man gajod ini an ako desire. In fact, I have now my second batch of books to be donated, pero lisod lamang an pagtransport kay lajo man ako.

This is also the reason why I propose this BOOK CAMPAIGN. I can't imagine if all of us will take part in donating, siguro grabe kahamok na libro an ato matipon. And these books will be used by the future students in JNHS. Access to different variety of books will no longer be an issue, and this would encourage the students to read more.

We need different kinds of books... e.g. textbooks, encyclopedia, novels, manuals, magazines, reference materials, etc. basta something to read that could be used by high school students. We also need financial support for the freight of these books from our location to Jabonga. I find it difficult to transport kay mahal karajao. Amo gani na nadelay an ako pagdonate inin ako books kay it would cost me 2k for the freight alone.

Hopefully many would take part to this campaign: the LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS, ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, PTA and YOU.

WHAT WE NEED:
- BOOKS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ...e.g. textbooks, encyclopedia, novels, manuals,
magazines, etc.
- FINANCIAL SUPPORT for the freight of these books (case to case) only when needed

- VOLUNTEERS (those who will take charge in collecting books)

Those who are interested to help, please do contact me: ANTHONY -09208326493. I'll call you.
